Consultation/Assessment

First steps

Step 1

Send an email with the following information:

- Name

- Age

- Pronouns

- Short summary of what brought you here

You will be contacted with an offer a 30-minute consultation.

This will allow you to meet your potential therapist. To think about what your symptoms are and your goals. Along with thinking about your readiness for therapy, or to signpost you to others. If you are wanting to continue with therapy, we can then book in for your assessment session.

A short summary report of the consultation will be provided.

All people who are wanting therapy or workshops with me will have to complete a consultation. If you are seeking a workshop, you will not need an assessment. Next steps will be communicated at the consultation.

Step 2

Assessment typically lasts for 60 minutes

This is a one-off assessment for individuals and families.

Assessments can be seen as an in-depth consultation. We use the information that has been shared to think about the following.

- To have a better understanding of how an experience/s is impacting your wellbeing and relationships.

- To ascertain whether you or a loved one might be experiencing a mental health difficulty which requires treatment with private or statutory organisations.

- To assess whether therapy might be of benefit to you for a specific issue you have been considering accessing support for, and what that might look like.

- To create a safety plan if needed.

All assessments come with a comprehensive report. There is a fixed price for assessments, which will be discussed and agreed upon with you before starting. After assessment, there is no obligation to continue to work with me or anyone I signpost you to.

The aim of consultations and assessments is to simply give you options for you to go away and think about.
