Therapy Sessions

I offer a flexible and thoughtful approach to working with a range of different presentations. 

I offer both short-term, time-limited and long-term psychotherapy.

I offer virtual sessions and in-person sessions. This can be facilitated at your home or "walk and talk" in an agreed location.

 

Starting therapy may be daunting, strange and uncomfortable. There is a range of paces we go.

Slow and Steady

This is often for people who are doing long-term/open-ended psychotherapy. This type of therapy is best for people with complex trauma and/or individuals who are neurodiverse, but is not limited to other symptoms. We will use the first session to think about confidentiality and contracting our time together. We will have a reflection every 6 sessions on how things have been going, and to assess if we are coming to an end. Often, with long-term therapy, it comes to a natural end, where both therapist and client come to a close.

Moderate

Time-limited therapy has quite a bit of pace to it. It can be intense, but it allows for room to breathe and take a step back. 12-20 sessions are offered. We will use the first session to think about confidentiality and contracting our time together. This will be in line with your goals and boundaries. 

Intence

Short-term therapy is often 6-8 sessions with a maximum of 12 sessions. 

The first session will be used to discuss confidentiality, and contract our time together in line with your goals. 

At our 5th session, we will have a reflection of how things have been going and assess if we are coming to an end or to contract how many more session is needed.
